Week 2- Two sides of Social Media

In today's day and age, the most significant form of communication is through social media whether it's sending a text, an email, or even making an Instagram post. While much of this is positive there are often other sides of social media we don't often get to see. In those posts, we will discuss the positive and the opposing sides of social media.

As discussed before social media is a huge way to stay connected with family and friends you don't often see. Another huge positive of social media is that you are able to have different understandings of certain topics that might make you more understanding of one's culture, ethnicity, etc. Unfortunately to every positive, there is a negative. The negative impact social media carries is also a big factor. Online people can always get away with saying harmful things and not getting punished for it. Oftentimes times this is where people begin to have self-doubt themselves because they feel that what they see on social media is what they should be in real life.  Another negative about social media is that often people get so caught up talking online to someone that when it comes to talking to someone face to face they experience anxiety issues due to always. Social Media is very relevant in our day-to-day life but at what point is social media more a bad thing than a good thing.
